EHFA, the European Health & Fitness Association, was the Brussels-based body that gave the European health and fitness sector its first common qualifications framework. Working with national associations, operators, training providers and the European Commission, it set the standards that exercise professionals are trained and assessed against, and it ran the register that records them.

Through EREPS, the European Register of Exercise Professionals, it gave individual instructors a register entry that employers and the public could check, and it accredited the training providers and registers whose programmes met those standards. It also carried the sector's case into European policy and ran EU-funded projects on vocational education and training.

EHFA has since been wound up. This site preserves its record: the standards framework and how it was built, the register, the accreditation process, and the news archive of the association's later work.

It also holds the history of the framework and the council that maintained it, the partners who worked with it, and the European Fitness Forum.
