What the support was for
The levels described what each company had committed to the association, and the list was published so that the sector could see who was paying for the work. The larger commitments were what allowed the association to run work that subscriptions alone would not have funded, and they brought the suppliers into the same forum as the operators.
The list also shows what the sector was made of. It contains employer groups running clubs in several countries, equipment manufacturers whose products stood in those clubs, a construction company that built fitness premises, a supplier of group exercise programmes, and one training provider. The standards had to serve all of them at once: an employer needs a qualification it can trust when it recruits, a supplier needs the training it delivers on its own equipment to be recognised in the same terms, and a provider needs a syllabus it can teach and assess.
The other half of the list
The association's supporter page carried a link across to its national association partners, and the two lists belong together: the companies supplied and operated the sector, and the national bodies represented it in each market. That roster is on the association partners page, the member categories are under national associations and membership, and what the partner organisations said about the association is collected under partners about EHFA. The supporter structure in the round is described on the partners page.
