EHFA listed the final conference of the EA-Fitness project in its events channel in July 2010, at the close of the European Accreditation - Fitness project.

The project was funded by the European Commission and led by Central YMCA Qualifications, with ten partner organisations including EHFA, drawn from the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, France, Lithuania, Sweden, the Netherlands and Belgium. It built on two earlier projects, Eurofit-QST and ECVET-Fitness, which had produced the functional map of the sector and the credit system that mapped qualifications to the European Qualifications Framework. EA-Fitness took that work into practice by accrediting training providers against the EHFA standards.

Its products were the accreditation of the partners and of further training providers, the accreditation documents translated into partner languages, revised and new EHFA standards, and the establishment of EREPS in the partner countries, together with the labour market research and the project website. For EHFA the project was also how standards written in the abstract were tested against the programmes training providers actually taught. The partners met through the project in London, Lisbon and Brussels, and the work was carried out in the partners' own markets as well as in Brussels. See the EA-Fitness project and its products.
