EHFA Offers Internship

EHFA advertised a further internship at its Brussels secretariat in April 2009. Like the placement the association had offered the previous year, it was based with the secretariat team that serviced the board and the standards work, and it was aimed at students and recent graduates with an interest in European policy or in vocational education.

The notice was published on 29 April 2009 and asked interested stagiaires to send a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter to the secretariat; the placement ran from June of that year.

By 2009 the association's workload had grown in a way that made interns more useful rather than less: the EU-funded vocational education projects were running, the qualifications framework was being drafted in detail, and the accreditation programme was generating applications that had to be administered. None of that was work a board of directors could absorb.

That workload came from the association's programme rather than from its routine business: the ECVET project on credit transfer, the EA-Fitness project, the drafting of the standards and the administration of the register. See EU projects and EREPS.

The association advertised internships again in 2010 and 2011, including one dedicated to its EU affairs work. Its standards programme is described under Standards.
