EHFA published the programme for its third National Associations Forum in July 2010, and the forum was held in London in November 2010.

The forum was the meeting of EHFA's national association members, the bodies that in each country both represented the sector to government and carried qualifications into local training. They were a distinct constituency inside the association: they held votes at the general assembly, they could stand for the board, and they were expected to explain a European framework to members who had to apply it in their own market.

By 2010 the series was growing. The first European meeting of national associations had been held in 2008, and the association's year-end message recorded that the third forum had grown year on year as more industry leaders took the meeting on. The same message noted the newer national associations emerging across Europe, singling out Hungary, and described them as rallying points around which the fitness industry in each country could organise itself, first locally and then internationally. The forum also gave the association a picture it could not assemble from Brussels: what each national body was meeting in its own market, and which parts of the framework needed explaining differently from one country to the next.
